Adding links to main page header

    I am new to WordPress design.

    For any template, how do you add links to new pages within the main page header.

    As an example, the WordPress.org page header has “HOME”, “SHOWCASE”, “EXTEND”, etc. in its header section. Clicking on them takes you to a new page.

    How do i do that?
