Adding links to excerpts

    I’m trying to either replace excerpts or get excerpts to display links on the index. Any suggestions are welcome, or if clarification is needed please let me know. Currently I’m using the default:

    <?php bfa_excerpt( 55, ' ...' ); ?>

    which removes all links and line breaks, which I do not want.

    Did you ever figure out the answer to this? I also want to adjust this to show links on my excerpts.

    I have not figured this out yet, I was doing it for my convenience as the client I’m using this for hasn’t mentioned this functionality. I’ll post a solution here if I find one.
