• Hi all. I was wondering, is there a way to add Google Adsense to my blog? I’m trying to figure out a way to add the html coding for the Adsense search bar and ads. Thanks. — Peace, Donna

  • Go to widgets. Add text box. Press save, then edit text box…copy/paste code from google in there.

I tried this but for some reason it is not working,
Every time I type in text and save it, it disappears.

There are a number of plugins out there that will give you more options as to how and where your ads show – here’s one you can try:

I had a similar problem, when I add the code, nothing displays on my blog. Is this a common problem? What is the solution?

I saw the disappearing code issue when I had my blog hosted on wordpress.com. I looked into why this might be and discovered that their Terms of Service do not allow ads. So I moved my blog to my own host & WordPress installation and I can now copy ad-sense script into a text widget and it saves and displays okay, however I just get an ad search box. Not sure if this is because my blog is very new and Google hasn’t woken up to it yet, or if I’m doing something else wrong.
