[resolved] Adding .GIF Thumbnails and Removing Borders? (5 posts)

    Hi,

    I'm trying to get an animated .GIF to display its glory as a thumbnail, but can't get it to work. Also, I would like to hide the boders around the thumbnails. Can't seem to find the css, read some old posts that say plugins/nextgen-gallery/css/... but this folder does not show up in my FTP browser.

    Any help on either issue would be greatly appreciated.

    The border issue is fixed trough the other options / styles tab and by adding (this lets you change multiple thumbnail options):

    .ngg-gallery-thumbnail img {
    margin: 5px 5px 40px 5px;
    background-color:#FFFFFF;
    border:0px solid #A9A9A9;
    display:block;
    padding:0px;
    position:relative;
    }

    Still tyring to link individual images to pages and not the lightbox, and adding animated .GIF's als thumbnails...

    p.s. if you want no border a nicer way to do it is:

    border: none;

    but my guess is most of you figured that.

    @Sky . Design - Thumbnails are created from the original and will be written in JPG formats ... there is no option for a GIF format but that would make an interesting Feature Request here: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/feature-voting/

    The idea of linking images to pages is also a fairly common request as well, feel free to share your thoughts and ideas on that when using the Feature Request form as well.

    Thanks!

    - Cais.

    Hi Cais, thanks for your reply.
    I understand how the writing to JPEG makes supporting GIF rather difficult for now. However I found multiple ways to link the tumbnails to something other than the larger image for the older versions of nextgen gallery. Surely this must be possible in the newer versions as well?

    I filled out the feature voting form, hope to see all these cool features in the next updates of your already very awesome product.
