Adding Full WordPress Site Password Protection Before Hitting Homepage (5 posts)

So I'm trying to figure out how to add full site password protection (I'm creating a blog just for my family, so I don't exactly want it open for the world to see). I read what this guy had to say on his site about it:

It seems logical, however I get errors in the lines of the php when I update it so I have to go back into my FTP and re-add the functions.php from my extracted theme on my computer.

If you have any suggestions for me (I'm a noob at code, so bear with please), I'd be extremely appreciative.

    Thanks so much!

Ahhh... I was looking for this! Thank you! All I saw before was the 'WP-Members' plugin before. Cheers, mate!

You'll see that you can also block the rss feeds with that plugin. Good luck!

You could also do this via htaccess
