Adding Flickr Image question vs. uploading images

    Sorry I’m new to this and don’t always follow the more technical language.
    Which is better for the size and function of my site? I want to make sure it loads quickly when pictures are included.
    Should I link to images from Flickr where I can automatically resize?
    Should I just upload the pictures and provide links to Flickr elsewhere on my site?

    If I do link to flickr how to I put space around the pictures so the text isn’t tight to them?

    I’m also having difficulty getting the text to fully wrap around a picture. There is plenty of space, is there something I’m missing?
