Adding files (.epub) for downloading: how/ (5 posts)

    Hello,

I just realized I do see a way to upload a file (.epub in my case) then adding a link on a page for peeps to DL it. Is there a way to do this through the Dashboard?

I could of course just place the file in the site folder and then add a link to it...is that the way it's done?

    Thanks!

That should work if your host supports the mimetype for .epub files (or you can add that in .htaccess:

    # Add filetypes
    AddType application/epub+zip .epub
    # End filetypes

Yes that worked though I find it hard to believe WordPress doesn't address this in the dash or perhaps a plugin.

I'll wait on 'resolved' for a bit to see if anyone has something else.
