I need to add extra feilds to the user's registeration form such as phone number and student number. I found a plugin that does just that (User Manager) but the problem is that my blog is in Arabic and when I add a feild or a description of a feild in arabic they aren't encoded correctly. Deoes anyone know how to fix the encoding problem. If there's another way to add the extra needed feild that would be great too.
And what is the encoding of your blog? Is it utf-8 as it should be for any language?

You are right - using other characters than ANSII in the field names and content, gives bad character encoding. You should inform the author of the plugin.
p.s. Oh, and always read the comments on a plugin page!
Comments # 29 and 30 - no support yet for non-English use of it).

By the way, do you know of any other plugin or code that can add feilds? I guess you'd have mentioned it if you did but it doesn't hurt to ask.
There used to be this:

have no idea whether it works with newer WP versions, though.

Your right moshu it doesn't work any more. The instructions say that I need to istall usermate first but it wouldn't install. It wouldn't even appear in my plugins list. Thanks for your time moshu.
