   I downloaded a theme which i thought supported widgets

   Everything was working fine until i went into the widgets panel under design add added in a couple of widgets

   now all the original things in the sidebar have disappeared except for the 2 new things

   i checked sidebar.php and the search box and all the other things are still in there in the code so why aren't they appearing on my website?

   now only has recent posts in the sidebar

   it has lost
   - search
   - categories
   - tags
   - monthly
   - pages

   how do I get those things back???

   Also how do I get the widgets to integrate properly? Or do I have to manually amend the code now to add other things into the sidebar?

   Er ... so how did you resolve the problem? It would be nice to know, for those of us who may be having similar problems.
