I want to add a copyright notice to the bottom of my blog page. What's the best way to do that?

    This appears to work:

    <p>© <?php echo date('Y'); ?> Metta Press LLC</p>

Is that an acceptable way to do it?

yes, but replace your symbol with &copy;. The symbol won't be seen in some browsers/character sets. But the &copy; will always be shown correctly.
