   I'd like to add the titles of my last 5 blog entries to my website (not my blog) so that it'll update when I make a new entry. I've looked through the files here but can't figure out how to do it.

   I don't know at what files you were looking "here"...
   anyway, you will need a feedreader gizmo in your main site that will display the blog's feeds.
   So, the question is not really a WP issues - WP is producing the feeds. You'll have to google to find a way how to display them in a non-WP site/file.

   I use Feedburner http://www.feedburner.com/ to display my recent posts - you can see it on the right-hand side, about halfway down the page here http://www.freesitebuilder.co.uk/

   I use their BuzzBoost, which gives a script to paste into your webpage, and there are various options that you can change.
