Hi all.....please bear with me.....I really don't know anything about this blogging stuff, but I just made up a blog and I'm doing OK so far...but would like to add a few changes....right now I'm using the basic blog page which came free with my account....I want to be able to add an image on the top of my header page instead of using just boring text.....how do I do this? Do I need to download a new template.....if so how? Please explain in laymens terms as I am very unfamiliar with all this.....thank you so much....

"free with your account." Are you at wordpress.com? They've got their own forums. wordpress.org is for folks who run their very own, personal installation of WP (and have access to all the files and whatnot).

    hey dollyg,
you should be able to go to "Presentation" then "theme editor". there you will find all kinds of files with code.
to change the header graphic, you can change the "stylesheet" file, but i recommend that you use the wordpress help - try their "docs" tab at the top of this page and search for something like - designing headers.
