   I was wondering if there's any way to plug into the WordPress plugin auto-update function to update a plugin that isn't hosted in the WordPress repository. I've seen some other plugins do it (premium & paid plugins) but I haven't been able to reverse engineer them. Has anyone else had experience with this?
