    Hi,

My current blog http://www.myname.com is in English, and I would like to have a different blog in Arabic. The posts on the two sites will be different, although at times I would like the visitor to know that a post on one site has a translation on the other. The two sites are likely to have different sections. My questions are:

    – It looks to me that this is better implemented by installing a new wordpress site for Arabic blog, and then add a link on every post page to the translation if and when there is one. Does this sound the right approach?

    – I am more uncertain about what domain name should I go for the Arabic blog. Should I use something like arabic.myname.com, http://www.myname.com/arabic, or even a separate domain name altogether, like http://www.myname-arabic.com? I am thinking from the point of view of the visitor who is likely to know one of the two languages and be interested in that one site only, and also in terms SEO.

    Many thanks for the advice.

    Nick
