• greetings,

for some reason or another, when i upload images and then fill out the alt text, description, size and what not, the alt text doesn’t appear in the source code.

is there a plugin that i should be downloading to get that feature?

or am i doing something wrong when uploading the images?

    Thanks.

    Which theme are you using?
Alt text is for accessibility by the way.

the alt attribute for images is a factor in seo.

I have the same question as you Chris. Did you ever find a solution.
For me, it is specifically my product featured images that do not retain their alt text in the source code. I’ve tried every way of adding the alt text to the images, but they are not in the source code once published.
As an additional note, I am not having this problem with other images on my pages, only the product featured images.

    modmobiles,

i had go into the code of where the homepage was pulling the images and what not. and then i had to add the alt=”image description” manually.

Thank you! Not the easy solution I was hoping for, but I’m happy there’s something I can try.
