Adding ads to the sidebar in the Twenty-Eleven theme (5 posts)

    I'm still a newbie and would like to use the twenty-eleven theme but I'd like to ad sponsors as shown in the showcase link below:

    http://whimsywhims.wordpress.com/2011/11/11/funny-humor-life-why-i-steal-ink-pens/

    Is this possible? or is another theme advised?

    Hi.

    I gave an example that was wordpress.com but my blog is not supported by wordpress.com
    My blog is http://www.ourverdantgarden.com

    you could use textwidget(s) to enter the html code for the linked images;

    example structure for each sponsor image:

    <a href="http://linktosponsorsite"><img src="http://urlofsponsorimage" alt="sponsornameoptional" /></a>

    or try a plugin such as
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/image-widget/
    (search result only, no recommendation, have not used it myself)
