Adding additional variants without deleting previous?

Is there anyway to add an additional variant to a product without having to regenerate all variants? Some of the products have 15+ colors with sizes, it’s insane to have to go back and add SKUs and prices for all of them again.

Also, didn’t there use to be a way to have 1 price for all variants so that the price would just display? If all of my items are the same price except for the XXL variants, it seems kind of silly to have to write the same price for all the rest.
