Adding a Transparent Background. (2 posts)

    HI THERE!

I am trying to add a background layer that will go behind all of my content on all of my pages in my WordPress site. I want it to be one of those semi-transparent backgrounds and I have an example.

    http://thestringdusters.com/site

On this site they have that transparent grey background behind all their content that still allows the main "river" background to show. I want to attain that same type of semi background onto this site

    http://the-fischer-group.com

so that once I get my sliders and all that on the pages, there is a contrast between the white background.

I am a beginner to web design and wordpress so anything will help. Remember I would like to apply it to all of the pages and posts on the site. Thank you so much.

    My name is Chris.

You have a few options to get transparency. Here are some ideas:

–use a transparent .png file for the background image on your div.

–use a regular image but set a css transparency value on it: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_image_transparency.asp
