Adding a Screenshot to a Child Theme (5 posts)

    Hello,

I've made a very small modification to the parent theme screenshot from the Smallbiz theme. I then created a screenshot.png file in my Smallbiz-Child folder and imported the new image into the screenshot.png file (using fileZilla).

The new screenshot is NOT showing in my smallbiz-child theme in my WP dashboard (even after hitting the refresh button). I'm a newbie at all of this and can NOT figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm obviously missing a very simple step.

    TIA for any help.

    Mike

    Hi Mike,
make sure your screenshot is in your themes/smallbiz-child folder. It should show up.

    Hi Kaniamea,

    Thank you for your response.

Is there a link or a way I can make the setup available to you for your review? The screenshot.png file is located along side the style.css file. When I right click the screenshot file and click the "View/Edit" it displays the new graphic so I know it's in there.

Again, thank you for any help. I'm totally stumped.

Where specifically are you looking in the dashboard?

WP >Dashboard >Appearance >themes >Active: smallbiz-Child. It is here where my new smallbiz-Child theme is located but without the screenshot.
