Adding a picture adds an unwanted line after (5 posts)

    Hi, I'm just getting my site started (http://collegebasketballtalk.com).

    When I insert a picture, there's an automatic extra line inserted right after the image. In the case of my first post, it moves the whole start of the post down below the top of the picture and the other plugins that start at the top of the post.

    Anyway I can stop that without having to go into the HTML editor everytime?

    Anyway help would be greatly appreciated.

    Sidenote: It looks like I've got a lot of space after the end of the post. Anyone else see that, and do you know how I can remedy that as well?

  2. I'm guessing that in your admin, you've got something like this in your post:

    <img class="alignleft" title="JerryFerrara" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UaLWp72nij4/S_Hm1Lk3uZI/AAAAAAAALmI/eEsf5tPEjNA/s400/jerry-ferrara.jpg" alt=""Turtle" from Entourage" width="180" height="240" />

    I'm sitting on my couch... by myself... in the middle of the day....

    Instead of that, try this:

    <img class="alignleft" title="JerryFerrara" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UaLWp72nij4/S_Hm1Lk3uZI/AAAAAAAALmI/eEsf5tPEjNA/s400/jerry-ferrara.jpg" alt=""Turtle" from Entourage" width="180" height="240" />I'm sitting on my couch... by myself... in the middle of the day....

    When the post is saved, WordPress automatically adds a new paragraph tag at the beginning of each sentence and you can see that's the case by looking at your source code. Removing the carriage return, will remove that spacing.

    The space below your post is probably due to some padding on one of your divs. Try adding coloured borders to some of your classes to find out which one is the culprit.

    I know how to do that. I'm trying to find a way in which I won't have to go into the HTML editor every time to delete that automatic carriage return. Can anyone help me on that?
