[resolved] Adding a page puts it on my navigation bar (4 posts)

I am very new to wordpress - every time I build a new page, it adds it to my navigation bar. Where can I find the setting that just builds a page that can be referenced from anywhere instead of it showing on my nav bar?

    Thanks!

Your theme will determine how pages show up on the nav bar. Look in your theme options to see if it has a setting for navigation. Better yet, go to Appearance > Menus in the Admin Panel and see if your theme supports WordPress Menus; if it does, click the + sign at the top/middle of the page and you can design a nav bar with whatever you want to show up.

Here is a pretty good video on how to use WordPress menus.

If your theme does not support WordPress menus and you cannot figure out how to change what your theme is doing with the menu, try out some different themes.
