I tried to install and activate a new them for my WordPress blogsite, but it crashed both my site AND my Dashboad; i can't get on either one now. The only error message that is showing is:

Warning: require_once(BP_PLUGIN_DIR/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/ajax.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/briankov/public_html/wp-content/themes/sense-and-sensibility-bp/bp/bp-functions.php on line 4

Has this happened to anyone else? How can I get back to my dashbord to get rid of this theme? Any suggestions would be much appreicated; many thanks in advance!

    Hi there!

My suggestion would be to FTP into your WP site and manually remove the theme folder from your theme listing altogether since you can't access your Admin panel and Dashboard.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, i have no idea how to do that. i'm hosted by HostGator and keep looking for stored files but can't find anything. Any ideas?

This just happened to me. I am freaking out. I am hosted by GoDaddy and just got off the phone with them. They advised me to go into my file manager (FTP) and click on history and then restore the site. So I did that, not sure if I did it right or not, but they said it can take a couple hours to restore. I can't access the WP admin page to even log into my site.

on godaddy, all you really needed to do was login to your hosting, go to your files area, and delete the theme that crashed your site

Hey RVooDoo, I tried that first and still nothing. I can't get into my wordpress login page and my site is still blank.

well, now that you have that restore thing running, you'll have to wait a bit before we can do any trouble shooting...I'm not sure how that works really

Yea, the people at GoDaddy said I have to wait a couple hours to see if the restore took. I really appreciate your help, I'll let you know what happens.
