   I would like to know where I need to place my hoplink for an advertisment that already appears on my theme? Do I access the theme editor/template within my WP admin and amend the existing HTML (in ads.php) with the new hoplink I have been provided with, or does it go somewhere else?

   Does your theme use an AD plugin? If so you may only need to change the ad within the settings for the plugin.

   Otherwise, you'll probably have to edit the ads.php, as you suspected.
