Adding a Facebook Like box to website

I found my Facebook html code to add a like box to my site, but i can’t find where to drop it on my site. I checked the support link and found no help. Do I just drag the “text” option to my primary widget area and then put the code in the area under the title area of the text box? Sorry, this is probably pretty basic but very confusing to me. Thanks you so much!
