Adding a Blog to an existing web site

Hi all. I searched and searched but couldn’t find this topic. Friends of mine want me to help them install WordPress on their website http://www.creativityinlife.com

The idea being that the home page would be the blog then the existing .index page would be renamed .home or something like that. I want to keep the current design but use the main area to display the blog information. Can this be done? and how?
