[resolved] How do I add a blog to an already built wordpress website? (5 posts)

    Hi,

I'm a beginner in need of help please. I have a few months of experience on wordpress, and I'm responsible for updating and maintaining my company's website. It was built before I joined the company, by an external design company, but doesn't incorporate a blog.

I've never seen a wordpress site without a blog, and I think it would be a really useful tool for us!

I know how to create blog posts, but don't know where they will appear. Is there a way that I can create a page to host these posts, or would this be a job for the designers?

Thanks in advance for any help/tips.

well, I'm not sure if your site is a collection of static pages, or how it is set up.... here's the generic advice tho

in the page editor, make a page called 'blog' (or whatever you would like really)

now in settings->reading select that page from the dropdown as your posts page, all your posts will now go there

Thank you very much for that advice - we now have a basic blog page which I can work with!

Sure! It'd be great if you use the drop down to mark this thread resolved if you are in fact happy that your question has been answered!
