    Greetings wordpressers!
I've just installed the latest version of wordpress and so far I've seen quite a few improvents.
Unfortunately I came across a problem as well - I can't add widgets.
The only thing you can do is add them to them side toolbars. But...How do I add new ones to my database? That's the question the burns in my head.
    Any hints???

    Thanks a lot, Taras

Most widgets are added by installing and activating a plugin.

Make sure that, on the widgets page, in the upper right hand corner, click on screen options, then click to enable accessibility mode.

I've tried this both ways (enable/disable accessibility), and I'm having problems still. I am using Ad-Minister, and with 2.7, I could create a new ad widget from the AdM panel, then see it (and add it) from the Widgets screen. Now, new ad widgets don't even show up in there. Worse yet, I deleted one to try to add it back...and IT doesn't show up now either!

Any thoughts? Has anyone else reported some widgets NOT showing up in 2.8? I added a different plug-in/widget and it shows up okay...not sure if this is a 2.8 issue or AdM. Any advice or possible workarounds GREATLY appreciated!

Some plugins/widgets aren't yet compatible with WP 2.8. Ad-Minister appears to be one of them.

    Hi,

Yes, Ad-Minister is not compatible with 2.8 instead of that you can try with this:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/comicpress-manager/

    It is compatible with 2.8

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
