    Store URL: http://www.sayitinthread.com
    WordPress version: 3.6.1
    WP e-Commerce version: 3.8.12.1
    Gold Cart version:
    Theme: Boutique by Elegant Themes

    I did this: nothing

I expected WP e-Commerce to do this: function

    Instead it did this:

The add to cart button does nothing in firefox. Instead, I get a strange addition to the url such as: /#et-entry-post-7277

I also want to disable the pop-up feature and simply have the add to cart button go to a new page. Many users have pop-up blockers and it's function is interfering with our orders.

it doesn't seem to be a browser-specific issue at all, same issue appears in chrome. you might want to start with the supposition that your theme and wpec are arguing. deactivate all your plugins except wpec, change to the 2012 theme, retest...

I'm not having a problem any longer with the pop-up. However the POP-UP is a problem. I need to REMOVE IT. I don't want the cart details to appear in a pop-up. It causes nothing but problems for users in various ways that are difficult to troubleshoot.

How can i disable the shopping cart pop-up and have the cart variations appear on a 'page' instead?

your popup issue is not a wpec problem, but a function of your theme. You need to address this issue with your theme developer.
