   I'm trying to add thumbnail images of each of the posts that will be listed in the popular posts category, using the popular posts plugin.

   As far as I can tell, there isn't any simple option for the post titles to be displayed along with a thumbnail from each post.

   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

   YOu can do it wither via the plugins or hack to your blog...
