   Is there any way - either through a plugin or some other workaround - that will allow me to create a new WordPress template page (to add to single.php, index.php, etc.)?

   If not, is there at least a plugin to manage that allows you to manage your wordpress directory like an FTP or file tree?

   So are you asking to have a different template that 'revises' the standard WordPress Template Hierarchy?
