I am doing a site for an engineering office, their "projects" page (which has its own small amount of content) has 15-20 sub-pages but instead of having them drop down, id like to have them appear in a sidebar area when the page loads (only this page) just because there are so many.

I realize this may be theme-dependent (using "pinboard" theme) but im hoping there is a general WP strategy to do something like this... im just new to wordpress.

    Thanks for any advice

See List_Sub-Pages. I hope you are using a child theme.

I am new to wordpress, but I was under the impression that a child theme is more for the purpose of customizing/altering an existing themes files. If all the edits and changes I have done are within the built in theme options then i shouldnt have needed a child theme right?

Is there a built-in option for showing sub-pages in this theme?

i dont think so, not for the way im trying to make it. But thats why i wasnt sure if you are saying i should have started with a child theme or if its something i should start now because your suggestion involves modifying files.

I am now trying to figure out how to create a child theme without having to reset all the settings in my current site.
