   I upgraded, no problems. Reactivated my plugins, no problems. Clicked around (impressed with the new interface!) and installed gears.

   There's been an issue since 2.6 where my "post new" page won't show the comment option and I wanted to see if this was still an issue and it looked like it was so I went to deactivate my two comment plugins (comment email responder, suscribe to comments) and went back to the "post new" page. Now it only shows Discussions and Tags but not Categories (these are the three options I had clicked) and not the actual posting window. I set the screen options to include everything and reloaded, still nothing. I reactivated the plugins and still nothing.

   So I deactivated EVERY plugin. Nothing.

   I can see everything fine in edit-post mode and I can still see quick post on the dashboard but no longer have a working "post new" page. I tried another fix on the boards (adding AddType x-mapp-php5 .php to my .htaccess file) but no go.

   Any idea what I should try next?

   OK, just an update (in case anyone else is having this issue as well). I still haven't solved it. I also reinstalled WP 2.7 by the automatic updater and no luck. I've tried it on Firefox & Opera on my Mac as well as in Chrome, IE 6 and Firefox on my son's PC just in case it was a browser issue.

   I had the same problem. I was able to correct it by deactivating tiny mice advanced.

   Thanks for the heads up, dl63! I don't have that plugin. I did deactivate all plugins and then reactivate one-by-one but nothing helped. Still have no window in my "add new post." My workaround is to add the title in the dashboard then hit "edit post" and do my actual blogging in the newly opened window.

   Which one? The one in 2.7 or the old plugin?

   what helped me was deactivating All in One SEO Pack 1.4.7
   all works fine now
