[resolved] Add New Plugin-No Plugins Match Your Request!!! (31 posts)

So I wanted to add a new plugin. I clicked it. Entered a general topic for a plugin clicked searched, and I received this message No Plugins Match Your request.

Ok fine, so I clicked on one of the popular ones on the bottom and still received this message.

I deleted an old plugin and used the same name in the search bar
    and still the message persists.

    Can anyone help me.

    Thanks,
    Jason

I am having the same problem. Maybe it is a wordpress issue.

This was happening before I updated wordpress and after to version 3.3.2.
I just used the plugin like 30 min ago. They need to fix it.

Same problem here. So it looks like a WP problem.

Me too. Same problem. Just started a little bit ago. Must be WordPress.

I can confirm that this started happening for me too. Strange! I just installed one a minute ago but now it says "No plugins match your request." and I can't locate ANY plugins using the WordPress backend search feature. I thought I might need to upgrade to the newest WP version but that did not help. I thought it was a recent plugin install, but disabling all plugins did not help either.

Yeah, this is happening across all of my current installs, on both the newest update and old version.

Just curious, what hosting do you guys have? I wonder if it is host related (a global config change or something)...

Same problem over here. And I downloaded a plugin just a few hours ago and did no changes after. So I blame it on WordPress :-)

Unless you all just downloaded the UAM plugin and had problems just after that...

Me too. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem. I had to download and install a plugin manually.

Ok my blog is NOT on BlueHost so I think we can rule out that.

Please don't post "me too" comments if you have nothing to add on the problem or the solution - it can end up burying the resolution.

    Thanks

OK well can anyone confirm if it IS working for them?

UAM = User Access Manager. I just downloaded it and installed it. So it could have messed with the access to the plugins.

I don't think so hjard, I was working with WP-MalWatch when the problem started happening for me too. Seems to be a global issue.

Thanks for adding this thread. Hopefully some WordPress staff are watching forums and will pay attention to this issue.

Same thing is happening to me in the dashboard Plugins > Add New on Bluehost with WordPress v. 3.3.2 and on another site I have hosted on InMotion Hosting with WordPress 3.1.2 . Even when you click to view the "newest" or "recently updated" plugins, nothing shows up in the results.

Was working okay - installed a couple of plugins. Then after about an 1 hour decided to install another plugin but nothing shows up in the results.

Logged into another wordpress site and the same is happening there....

I was trying a plugin search a few minutes ago and received message indicating 'no plugins match your request'. Relieved to see that not just me that's affected as had just upgraded a site to 3.3.2 and thought it was that!!! Phew! Will wait for further news on possible fix.

Just tried another site which is the same, but was able to automatically update currently installed plugins.

This is a problem with api.wordpress.org. We're working on it and should have it resolved momentarily.
