• I think could be a nice idea to add a new capability like “view_stats” to select which users or Role can have the stats widget on the dashboard.

That can be done by changing “manage_options” in the plugin by “view_stats” and then adding this capability to Administrators by default.

Another way is an option to select who can view stats.

  • Hey Txanny, I agree!

For now I just changed the “manage_options” to “7”.. and will do the job for me 🙂

Anyway it would be cool 2 have an option like that.

    cheers!

    Hi Guys,
I am using the “WordPress.com Stats” plugin that Txanny mentioned above, as well as the “Capability Manger” to manage the tasks allowed for my various roles.

My administrator and editor roles have the stats info available to them on their dashboard, but any role lower does not. Any idea which capability I can activate to allow lower roles access to stats? I have already tried raising my “contributors” to level 7, but that didn’t seem to do the trick.
