I am creating a CMS with WordPress. I have nearly two dozen custom fields for more than 40 pages on my site. I would like to be able to add the custom fields quickly, but right now when I enter the key and value, then hit “add custom field” nothing happens, except that this button goes away. When I update the page, the new custom field shows up and I can enter in a new one. This is getting tedious. Is there a way I can add several custom fields without having to refresh or update after each one?

  • I think this is a bug that was introduced with 3.4.2, I too use custom fields frequently and didn’t see this in previous versions of WP, where I was able to add many different custom fields before saving the page.

Oh good, I’m not crazy, it was working fine in the previous version! Thank you! I’ll try to report this some way…

No you are not crazy. This is a known bug install the Hotfix plugin to fix the issue.

Thank you so much!! I downloaded it and tested it and it did fix the issue. Do you have any idea how much time this saves me? Thanks again!!
