Add Media: Image insists on opening full-page (5 posts)

One one of my blogs (all pretty much running the same set of plugins) I can no longer use the media-upload.php button because clicking it opens the upload frame as a page that replaces my post editor window. If I open it in a new tab, they are unrelated and I can't add the image to the post. I can't insert into the post at all, but I can see it in the media gallery after I save the changes, go back to my post, and then click the add image link again. Again, this works on all of my other sites on the same computer with the same browsers. It is not a browser-specific issue, either.

I re-downloaded 2.6 and replaced ALL of the files.

I disabled any plugins suspected of earlier errors.

I erased the js_cache folder contents.

Any insight would be most welcome because I am quite handicapped with this site at this point.

In case it will help any, my site in question is http://www.perfectlypetersen.com

Bump, please. There has to be some kind of explanation for the behavior of this link on the post/page editing screen.

I'm having this same exact problem. I have another WP install on the same server that works absolutely fine. I reinstalled 2.6 twice, did everything else mentioned above. Anyone have any clue why this is happening and how to fix it??

Nevermind. I de-activated all my plugins again and figured out the problem was the Sociable plugin. After I upgraded that the media uploader started working again.

I am having the same problem. I've found something weird though.

I run a number of blogs, all using wordpress platform. 3 of them are running 2.7, one running 2.7.1. Out of the 2.7's, one is working and one isn't.

Here's what I found that is different. When I hover over the add image button, my bar at the bottom of my browser gives to different urls.

    Non Working

    Working

if you can't see the difference, it seems that the non working one doesn't have the popup specs at all.

I have the latest version of flash, the latest update for javascript. I completely deleted my entire install of WordPress (minus the wp-config and content folders) and re-uploaded them. I have deactivated all of my plug-ins.

Any idea on what the problem is?
