• I am having trouble with the “Add Media” button on any post or content page. It doesn’t do a thing when I click it. When I go to the media library to upload media, it looks like it fully uploads and then gives me a red box at the top that only says HTTP error.

I’ve tried using different browsers (Chrome and Safari) and am working on a Mac with OS 10.8.2. I’ve updated everything I can and have disabled all but askismet for plugins. Updated to WordPress 3.5.1 as well.

Please help! I can’t get any mp3s to upload!

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I’ve been having this same issue and just discovered that JetPack was the culprit. I deactivated it and my uploads work just fine now. The site I was having issues with just had a major upgrade with both MySQL and WordPress.
