Add Media button is not working

    Hello, my “Add Media” button is not working at all.

    When I clicked on the button, the window will pop up but nothing is coming in “Insert Media” and the loading gif just kept circling and circling.

    All my themes and plugins are up to date. I’ve cleared the cache and followed some of the suggestions in other posts to deactivate plugins and turned on one by one. 3 out of 6 plugins are safe but the problems are still there when I turned on the other 3 back on: Twitter Facebook Social Share, My Category Order and Lightbox Gallery.

    What could I do from this point? Do I contact these plugin creators?

    Is there a normal version (not smart version) for me to upload the images instead of using the Add Media button?

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hi darthmai,

    It would mean there are some conflicts between those three plugins you mentioned with default WordPress functions. Probably they have obsolete functions that need to be updated with the latest WordPress. And yes, you should contact and report those errors to the plugin developers.

    For a dumb solution, you can try to upload images while deactivating the plugins first.
    After you finished, then you can re-activate them again.

    Of course, this is not the very best solution …
