    My site is http://www.crash-pod.com

    I have searched 20+ threads about this, but can't seem to change my title to logo. I use the twenty ten template. I am new to wordpress.

    I went to header.php, and changed from:

    <span>
    <a href="<?php echo home_url( '/' ); ?>" title="<?php echo esc_attr( get_bloginfo( 'name', 'display' ) ); ?>" rel="home"><?php bloginfo( 'name' ); ?></a>
    <span>

    to

    <span>
    <div id="logo"><img src="<?php bloginfo( 'www.crash-pod.com' ); ?>/wp-content/uploads/logo8.jpg" alt="" /></div>
    <span>

    logo8.jpg was put in the folder wp-content/uploads/logo8.jpg (transferred of filezila). It is quite a large file.

    Please help, driving me crazy :)

    Don't edit the Twenty Ten theme. First create a child theme for your changes. That said, why edit anything? Just upload your new header image via Appearance -> Header.

    Thats great, thank you, I have done that now, will sort out moving to child theme later today.

    It does however add a black line which I am not so keen on, is there a way to push the banner to the top of each page and remove the added black line?

    That's the kind of change that would need a child theme. Or possibly a custom CSS plugin.
