add javascript to header or footer?

    I have a very basic theme I trying to add slideshows and lightbox (amongst other things) to but i can’t get any plugin to work. I think this is a issue with the theme not loading the js found in wp-includes/js.

    I’m not sure if is entirely the issue but does anyone know how to do this? or if this might be a different issue.

    While this forum does not support commercial themes, I can note that you should review any theme related requirements with each plugin provider – and, you can test each with default theme to decide if it is the plugin or your theme…Also make sure theme and plugins are all up to date and from respected authors…look for popular and well used ones here…especially if you may want support…here…
