Add image when sharing link?

    Hi there,

    I’m a complete beginner to wordpress and I’m starting to think I’m punching above my weight :/

    Can anyone tell me how I can add an image to my blog so that if I’m ever linking to my blog on an external website, that image pops up? I’m on a free account so i’m not sure if this possible?

    If not…

    I had to read your question several times, so I may still not have the gist, but are you talking about an image that would show up as a thumbnail when you post the link. For example, if you want to post on Facebook and you want the link to look nice with a certain image?
