   I am trying to add links in my footer, but the html is not passing through correctly. What do I need to add to base WordPress to make it show up correctly on the site?

   thanks! Right now, it shows up as:
   http://www.mysite.com/\"http://wordpress.org/\"

   You don't need to add anything to the 'base WordPress' files. Just edit your theme's footer.php file.

   @blogatorul: Actually you've been waiting exactly 1 hour on your first query and 32 minutes on your second. Hardly all day. Plus you've had responses to both posts.
