Add File Download Directory to Multisite

    I want to add a directory to one of my Child Multisite sites where I can host some ZIP and PDF files for download. Where would this directory need to reside in relation to the /files directory? Any other thoughts on handling this type of scenario?

    Is there a particular reason you don’t want to use the built-in arrangement? WordPress will create these directories for you, under /wp-content/blogs.dir, when you upload files.

    and if you look under blogs.dir, you’ll see it has numbered folders for each site (except for the main) and under THAT it has the /files/ folder.

    But I’d use the media uploader, as putting files in the uploads folders directly (even in single site) will not show in the backend.
