Hi, I think these are basic questions that I cannot find answers to in the forum. I have added a twenty eleven child theme. I want to add to this theme the background display color (appearance/ background).

Additionally, I'd like to add to my child theme my header image if possible.

If someone could please tell me what code to add to my child theme so my theme modifications will not be lost. I think it's something to do with functions.php. Help. Want to update to 3.3

I went ahead and updated to 3.3 and did not lose my changes. I'm kinda confused. However, I'd still like to know if there is a code I can add to my child to make sure background display color and header image stay intact through upgrades.

    Sorry to interrupt,
    I have a similar problem.
I upgraded and header image and it changed the position of top menu and I cannot rectify. My site has now crashed!
