    This plugin is great, but the stats link on the admin “all posts” page or the “Add Column to Posts” column doesn’t track anything. If using the column, it just says 0 going down every post. If disabled it shows the “stats” link in the hover commands and it (as well as the “0” links in the column” lead to a stats page with no data in it.

    Isn’t it supposed to break down the individual post statistics? Everything else seems to be working great πŸ™‚

    I was not able to reproduce the issue on my test environment. Did you recently change your permalink settings?

    No I haven’t changed any of the settings since install of the plugin. I have been using SlimStats for about 2 months now and the option has never worked.

    Example image

    The same happens if I disable the column and click on “stats” in the posts screen.

    I installed the plugin to replace StatPress since it was badly in need of improvement. I love SlimStats…it’s just this is the only feature I have tried that doesn’t work.

    It shows “0” on every post…meanwhile some posts are getting thousands of hits.

    Is this a MU setup?

    No. Stand-alone install. It’s been installed for a very long time (and up-to-date)

    Can you give me a little info about your box?

    – SlimStat version
    – WP version
    – SlimStat add-ons installed
    – PHP Version
    – MySQL version

    Thanks

    SlimStat = latest
    WP = latest
    No addon’s installed
    PHP = 5.2.17
    MySQL = 5.5.23-55

    Have you tried to deactivate all your other plugins and see what happens? Also, in what language is slimstat on your blog?

    Thread Starter jh20001

    (@jh20001)

    English. I’ll deactivate everything and give it to tomorrow to see if anything changes I guess.

    Nothing changed. I just enabled all of the plugins back. I checked the server logs and checked for a number of pages that had anywhere from 50-150+ hits and then looked at WordPress’ Posts page and still everyone of them show 0 in that column with no data to show when you click on it….just empty charts.

    all the rest of the stats when visiting the main pages of the plugin work fine.

    So still, only the individual page stats are being a problem.

    I guess the only thing left to do is for us to take a look at the issue.

    I spent some time poking around at it.

    Scenario 1) Traveling to Stats->Overview and clicking on a post in “Top Posts” box
    Result: Leads to the appropriate stats for that post. URL box in browser says “http://www.mysite.com/blog/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-slim-view-2”

    Scenario 2) Going to Edit posts page and clicking on “stats” or the “0” (when the column is enabled)
    Result: Leads to a stats screen with 0 results. URL box in browser says “http://www.mysite.com/blog/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-slim-view-1&fs%5Bresource%5D=contains+/blog/reviews/Best-Book-2013/”

    Differences:
    1) Stats page sends to wp-slim-view-2, posts page sends to wp-slim-view-1 …..trying to change 1 to 2 in URL box coming from posts page didn’t change the result so that must not be it.

    2) Stats can populate from within the stats pages just fine and there are no variables being sent in the URL outside of “page”. The URL coming from the edit posts screen contains the “fs%5Bresource%5D” (aka fs[resource]) variable. Maybe the script is having a hard time with that variable being passed to it from the posts screen? At the same time…”Current Filters” shows the variable on the screen so it “appears” to be passing it successfully. Maybe somewhere else down the line it tries to pull the variable to populate the stats and fails…?

    Beyond that, I can’t find a single thing. Given, I’m not exactly an expert at this πŸ™‚

    Are you sure you have pageviews for those posts in the current month?

    Thread Starter jh20001

    (@jh20001)

    Of course. Read the start of that post “Scenario 1)”. States that the stats show up properly from within slimstats. Properly as in, it shows the pageviews and other stats. It’s only when you try to pull them from outside of it (Edit posts screen).

    A lot of those pages receieved dozens of views in the month…some hundreds.

    Like I said, contact us so that we can take a look, since we cannot reproduce the issue on our dev environment.
