I just created a new site (http://nashvilleberkleejam.com/) and I'd like to add a link to the main navigation bar (currently - Home, About, Photos, Links). I'd like the link to be "Blog Categories" with a drop down to each category. I can't seem to figure out how to add a basic navigation link for a non-static page.
I am using version 3.3
Thank you.
Are you using the built-in menus that WordPress provides? If so, you can go to Appearance > Menus and either add a menu or edit a current menu. You can then choose to create a link to a page, a post, or a custom link that points anywhere you want.

The horizontal menu that is shown is generated by pages - when I add a page, a navigation button appears. How can I add a link to "Blog Categories" in that way?

Can anyone answer this question for me?
I'd actually like to add two links to the main navigation bar: one for the Event Calendar and one for the Blog page.
Is this possible?
Again it depends on how your theme is creating the menu. If it is set up to use WordPress's menus, you can go to Appearance > Menus and set up a menu. From there you can set up links to any page, post, or a custom link that goes anywhere.
