Add An Image - Bug & Feature (3 posts)

I love Add an image for the nice frame and caption it provides (Add Media From URL).

    1) Bug

Using Umlauts directly (üöä) supresses the frame and the caption. I used ü which then translates. However, re-editing the post causes the code to be displayed as an umlaut again, so I have to re-edit all the umlaut captions as well, a real hassle.

    2) Feature request

It would save a lot of time if the "Alternate text" and "Image Caption" were copied from the "Image title" upon losing focus, since these texts are normally the same for me.

    Thanks!

The alternate text needs to be blank by default or should be completed manually. Auto-completion would cause significant accessibility issues - especially as many users don't bother to give their images a title but just use a file name.

If users give the image a title via "Add Media" this would perfectly fit the alternate text as it is by definition descriptive. No one would title an image "image001.jpg", e.g.
