   Hi!

   I read the codex articles about templates but i'm still confused.
   I have created several template files (category-6.php, author.php...) but i dont see them when i create a page. I just see the basic archive template. what am i doing wrong?

   Add this to the top of the template page:
   <?php
   /*
   Template Name: PageNameHere
   */
   ?>

   "PageNameHere" Will show up in that drop down list.

   how quickly does a temlpate name show up? I have it and it doesnt work :(
