    i guess if theres a way to add a class to a default gallery
    For example, i've a
    [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
    can i give a specific css class at that gallery, something like [gallery class= "red" link="file" columns="4"] ??

    No but depending upon your theme, you may be able to target CSS using different rules.
