Adblock is a very effective blocker of ads. But one unintended consequence was that it blocked the display of my own links on wordpress site. In my case links for affiliate publishing.
It drove me bananas as I saw it working on Chrome and Firefox.
I also could not see the code itself for the links - which really worried me.
I disabled Adblock, although I probably could have put it to Pause instead

Nice to hear this information. But where is the relation to wp-greet?

Sorry about that Hans. It was meant for a different topic. But Adblock did slow me down when I couldn't see elements of wp-gret on line because I had Ad block installed. Disabling Adblock fixed that problem.
I do however have problems in using wp-greet which is obviously a great plugin
I had trouble following the procedure in your write up for Exclude, as I don't use widgets and could not find the "file sidebar.php"
I also had trouble linking to the gallery.. When you used the term [gallery=ID] does ID refer to the URL or to the numeric identifier in the gallery.

    Thanks
    Don

Well, if you have no widgets you can skip this step.
Using NGG/NCG ID is the unique number for the gallery.
This is different for WordPress native galleries, you can insert those using [gallery]
